This tool has two modes: Username mode combines an adjective (Shadow, Pixel, Cosmic) with a noun (Wolf, Ninja, Phoenix) and sometimes adds a random number, matching Discord's own username conventions. Server Name mode combines a descriptive adjective (The Sleepy, Chaotic, Cozy) with a place-style noun (Tavern, Lounge, Guild) for a friendly community-server name.

Picking between generated options
- For a username, shorter combinations (ShadowWolf) tend to be easier for others to remember and type than longer ones with a number attached.
- For a server name, favor something that hints at the server's actual purpose or vibe — a gaming clan server and a book club server should probably not land on similarly generic names.
- If a username you like is already taken, try swapping just the noun or the adjective rather than regenerating the whole batch — it's often faster to land on something available.
- Say the name out loud before committing — some adjective+noun combinations read fine on screen but are awkward to say when introducing yourself in voice chat.

No — Discord moved to unique, discriminator-free usernames platform-wide, so every username (including the ones this tool generates) needs to be unique across all of Discord rather than unique-per-tag. If a generated name is taken, either try a different number suffix or generate a new batch.
Are there character limits I should know about for Discord usernames?
Discord usernames must be 2-32 characters, lowercase, and can only include letters, numbers, underscores, and periods — no spaces or most special characters. The names this tool generates in Username mode fit comfortably within that limit, but double-check if you manually edit one before using it.
Can I use a generated server name with emoji or special formatting added?
Yes — the generated name is a starting point. Many Discord servers add an emoji before or after the name (like "🏰 The Sleepy Tavern") for extra visual flair in the server list, which you can add yourself after copying.
Should my server name match my username, or can they be completely different themes?
There's no requirement to match them — a lot of people run a serious-sounding username alongside a playful server name, or vice versa. Generate each mode independently and mix and match whatever combination feels right for your situation.
