The Discord Chat Generator is a browser-based mockup tool that recreates Discord's channel view — the # channel header with server name, and the flat message list style where each message shows an avatar, a role-colored username, a timestamp, and the message text below, without bubbles.
Discord defaults to a dark theme (#313338-style background with blurple accents), which is how the vast majority of Discord users actually browse, so this generator opens in dark mode by default with an optional light-mode toggle.
Each message row has its own username and a color picker for that username, mirroring how Discord colors a member's display name based on their highest role — so you can simulate a conversation between several different community members, moderators or bots.
For entertainment and design use only: build memes, illustrate a Discord bot's behavior, mock up a community-management concept, or storyboard a script. It must never be used to impersonate a real server, real users, or fabricate evidence of something someone did not actually say.

Is it legal or ethical to use this tool?
The tool itself is legal to use for entertainment, mockups, presentations and design work. What is not legal or ethical is using the generated image to deceive someone — for example presenting it as a real Discord conversation to commit fraud, harass or defame a person, or impersonate a real server or user. Depending on where you live, that kind of misuse can constitute fraud, defamation or harassment. Please only use this for clearly fictional or illustrative purposes.
Does the tool upload my messages anywhere?
No. Every message, username, color and setting you enter stays in your browser's memory and is drawn directly onto a canvas element using JavaScript. The PNG file is generated and downloaded on your device — nothing is ever sent to any server.
Can I show multiple different users in one conversation?
Yes. Every message row has its own username and its own role-color picker, so you can simulate a real Discord channel with several different members, moderators or bots each showing their own colored name.
Can I switch between Discord's dark and light themes?
Yes. Use the theme toggle to switch between Discord's default dark theme and its light theme. The preview updates immediately. Is there a limit to how many messages or usernames I can add?
No — you can add as many message rows and usernames as you need to simulate a busy channel. Keep in mind a very long conversation produces a very tall exported image, so for a screenshot meant to be read at a glance, a shorter exchange usually communicates better.
Can I include an avatar image, or only colored circles?
The tool generates a colored circular avatar with initials for each username, matching Discord's default avatar style for users without a custom profile picture — it doesn't support uploading a real photo as the avatar, unlike some of this site's other chat mockup tools.
Can I mimic a bot message, like a webhook or slash-command response?
Yes — set a username like "MyBot" and pick a color, and it'll render like any other message row. This tool doesn't add the special "BOT" tag Discord shows next to verified bot accounts, so if that tag matters for your mockup, you may want to include "[BOT]" directly in the username text.
Does long message text wrap the same way it does in real Discord?
Yes — message text wraps automatically to match Discord's typical message column width, so a long message breaks across multiple lines the same way it would in the real client rather than overflowing or getting cut off.
